February!

It has officially "been a while" since we posted....oops. It's not that we haven't been doing anything, we just haven't been posting. So I'll try to give a brief review.
Nothing much ever happens during the week besides work, school, and grocery shopping, so I'll just go ahead and skip that.
We had a snow day on Feb 1st! In fact, I think we have had more "snow days" while living in Indiana than all my years in Wisconsin! I swear, more than an inch falls, and pandora's box is open. They go crazy! What ever shall we do if there is some snow and ice on the ground!?!? Yeah...moving on...
On the 3rd, we hosted our very first super bowl party!!! It was a great time and we had some great food. I made a 7-layer dip and a cream cheese dessert cheese ball, which both went over very well with the guests. We had a total of six friends come over and I think only two really cared who won the game, so it was laid back and nice.
I've been busy with work all last week and had some big news. It turns out, I have an opportunity to keep working my job for as long as we live here. I'm still considering trying to find a teaching job, but the security of having a job and insurance is so tempting, I'm really leaning toward it. We're just at a point in life where we need some guaranteed income and this would be it...
This Saturday, we went to Indy to hang out with some friends. We went ice skating downtown (once we found the stinking rink!!!) and then went to a dinner party full of people we'd never met. We had a great time and the food was fabulous!
Yesterday, Brian made plans with his buddy, Ron, to watch the Hunt for the Red October. Well, it turns out, we don't actually own that movie. Brian had watched a friend's copy in Houghton and thought he owned it. So we had to go on a quest (after we already did some shopping at Wal-Mart) to find the darn movie. We finally found it at Borders and as a reward, I got to go to Panera for a snack!
I have another busy week at work with a big application to write in the next two weeks.
Brian's heading to Wisconsin on the 22nd for the Birkebeiner, and I'll be...in Indiana....where else?
Phew! Hopefully I didn't miss anything dreadfully important there. Have a great week!
(Happy birthday Christy!)
