A Day of Climbing

Hello world. Brian and I are both fairly sore and tired today after spending much of yesterday trying out a climbing gym with our buddies Ron and Katie. We had a great time, even if Brian did end up with some nasty rope burn (oops...). We climbed until we could climb no longer. And then we went out to eat. :) Ron had this brilliant idea to try out an Ethiopian restaurant, which I will admit, I was quite wary of at first mention, but it was wonderful! We ordered four different items and they were brought out on this giant platter of flatbread. You use the bread to pick up the different meat and veggies (and chickpeas!!!) and boy is it filling! There's one point for Beth trying something new and loving it! Here's a picture of our lovely dinner.

Also, some wonderful videos of Brian and me bouldering toward the end of our day of climbing. Obviously, Brian was a bit exhausted. :)

In the realm of cat news, we have succeeded in our aim to keep Olivia entertained. I'm not sure Mabel is pleased to be the one having to do this entertaining, but hey, she's out of the shelter and into a home where she is loved and cared for. She doesn't like being held much and we are trying to slowly convince her that the purpose of kitties is to be held. Olivia won't hiss or growl at Mabel anymore but she plays too rough (thank you Bitty...). She likes to sneak up and swat at Mabel and Mabel does not like that one bit! Oh well. Maybe someday they will learn to play together. We're enjoying their company nonetheless.
