Football

Well, today was the first home game and we got some cheap tickets and went
with some of Brian's friends. Purdue kind of walloped Eastern Illinois, so that was cool. The band was really good too - especially impressive with the world's largest drum!

It started to rain (which was a welcomed idea to break the heat) in the second quarter, poured throughout halftime and right before the third quarter, they had to suspend the game for a giant lightning storm. They had to evacuate the whole stadium rather quickly, so people rushed the field (which was sopping wet)! Apparently the restarted the game 65 minutes later, but we had already motorcycled home (avoiding drowning the entire way). Before leaving, we did manage to get a nice picture with the giant drum and one of its strange attendant people.Hopefully next game will be drier and cooler... :)
