Grand Rapids

This weekend, we went up to Grand Rapids to visit the Alexi and had a great time. We drove up right after work and came back Sunday night. It was a pretty cool weekend full of eating out (for free!), visiting neat new places. We forgot our camera (sad!) but Brian reminded me that my new cell phone has a 2 megapixel camera with a 2 Gb memory card! So luckily, we still got some pictures of the awesome Frank Lloyd Wright house we visited.
We also got to see a neat fish ladder. Apparently when they built the dam in the river, they realized the fish could no longer swim upstream to spawn so they built a ladder that the fish could go up one level at a time. You can also kind of see my new haircut in this picture, but I'll take a better one soon.
One of the best parts of the weekend (for me, that is) was visiting the Meyer May House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It was built in 1908 and completely restored in the 80's. It is the best restoration in the country and free to tour. Here are some pictures of the house!
