March??? It's March???

Oops. My bad. It hasn't been an entire month since I wrote last. It's just been busy. I had a big application to the state to get in so my work could try and take on another responsibility to our member schools. It ended up being about 60 pages. What a beast. But it is done now and as a reward, we got to wear jeans on a non-jeans Friday and lunch was paid for by the office. yay.
Brian's been busy because.....HIS PROJECT IS FINALLY MOVING AGAIN!!! They have received notification to proceed (or some fancy kind of wording like that) and Brian's actually had things to do and parts of axles to buy. This in addition to the fact that he is taking three classes this semester. Which makes me ponder...I knew peeps at Olaf who took three classes and were full time students....maybe not, maybe I'm imagining that, but still....hmm...

The big event of February was the Birkie. And great grandpa's 100th birthday, but we didn't get to celebrate that as it was in Ashland. Sad. But Brian did manage to hitch a ride up to Hayward for the 2008 American Birkebeiner.

Here's a picture of Olivia being very supportive and excited for the race. (Those are Brian's ski poles she's relaxing under.)

Brian skied with his friends, Brandon, Lisa, and Ray for the entire 50K and they finished in just under 6 hours. Seriously. Skiing for 6 hours...these people are crazy. Just kidding Lisa! I love you! Here's a picture of them at the starting line. Yay team crazies from MTU!

The only other news (which actually took place in March) is that Brian's sister, Christy, came to visit us this weekend. We had a good ol' time riding bikes, shopping, and watching movies with our favorite oldest sister. Too bad it was only a weekend. (even worse for her since she had to make the 10 hour drive for only a weekend!)

Promise we'll write again sooner than the last time. We know you miss us! :)
