Hello everyone,
It has been a long time since either of us has posted to our blog. This is because I have been busy with school and Bethany has been concentrating on the baby blog when she is feeling up to writing at all. So since August, things have gotten very busy around here. We did have the chance to go back home for labor day and see Beth's friends in the cities, and visit the parents in Ashland. That was an excellent trip, and I very much enjoyed seeing everyone, but it was a lot of driving too.
About as soon as we got back, classes really started up for me, which meant that I had homework and tests to deal with in addition to my research. I am only taking two classes this semester, which is a light load, but when they have weekly homework assignments that take about 6-8hrs of work to do properly in addition to the 40-50 hrs of research that I have it adds up very quickly. The result of this is that I have been spending my days at the lab, and my evenings at home doing homework. The worst part (I think so anyways) is that things keep getting in the way of my workouts, which happen only about every other day now.
The other big event is that the Job fair was in September, and I am now officially looking for a job in Minneapolis/Duluth for after I graduate. I have had one interview so far, with a phone interview that should be starting in about a half hour. Bethany and I have decided that we are moving back to the northland for sure. I miss the snow too much to stay in Indiana.
Bethany's pregnancy is coming along nicely. We are still fortunate to not have any serious complications. We took a tour of the brand new hospital where the baby will be born on Sunday. It's a pretty fancy place, absolutely dripping with money. My favorite part was when they were touting the private birthing rooms and couch/beds for husbands to sleep on. My only thought was what other industry could get away with charging $1000 a night for a room, and claim that a bed for the husband is an extra.
Uh oh! the steel is here! I have to go unload it.
